Moving to South Africa?

Let me help you feel at home.

From choosing the right neighbourhood and school to finding your home

I help international families make the most of their time here in South Africa,

The part google (or Claude) doesn’t tell you…….

Moving countries is exciting. Figuring out how to live there is another story.

Schools. Neighbourhoods. Security. Finding a home. Cars. Healthcare. Domestic help. Making friends. Knowing who to trust.

There are a hundred little decisions that come with building a life somewhere new. You don't have to figure it all out yourself.

NOT AN AGENCY
OR BOT, A PERSON

who has lived the life you are about too.

MEET HANNAH PIRNIE

When my husband first told me his work wanted us to move to South Africa, my response was, “Cape Town?”

What I never imagined was that we’d fall in love with Johannesburg and South Africa so much that our two-year assignment became a 16-year family adventure.

Now, I love introducing people to the best of South African living and helping them discover why we decided to put down roots and call

Joburg ‍Home.

Meet Hannah - your guide to experiencing the best of life in South Africa.

I moved to Johannesburg with my husband’s job.

I had no local network, no idea which suburb was safe, no sense of who to trust.

The relocation company handled logistics. Nobody handled me.

I built this practice because nobody like me existed when I needed it. Not an agency, or a bot, a person. Someone who had lived it, who knew the northern suburbs from the inside, who could tell me in plain language which schools were worth the waitlist.

Now I help families skip the worst of it. Not all of it, the adventure is part of the story.

But the genuine overwhelm, the decisions made on bad information, the isolation of the first few months: those I can fix.
